Boy Crazy
I was sitting by Ivy this morning in church while she quietly watched the young men get the sacrament table set up before church. After a bit she turns to me with a very serious look on her face and says,
"Mom...I just love boys so much." She pauses and looks back at the young men and then back to me, "I love how tall they are. I love their nice clothes. I want to touch their hair and talk to them while I look into their blue eyes...or brown...or green...really any kind of eyes are nice. And then (sigh) I just want to kiss them."
Oh no...please don't tell me this is karma coming back to me! So I put my arm around her and say,
"Honey, I'm glad you like boys, but you can't kiss them until you are 18 years old. Otherwise you will scare them away and they won't want to be your friend."
I realize that this probably wasn't the most fantastic response, but I was NOT ready for this!
She looks back over at the boys and sighs again and says, "But Mom, then I won't have enough time to kiss them all."....So true...so true...

OH MY GOSH!!!! That is both awkward and adorable...I miss that girl so much!
She makes a valid point, Teresa. She'd better get started now!
I am left speechless by the logic of her argument and testify of its validity.
Karma indeed! Love you
(aunt Rose, not yo mama)
I can totally picture her saying that in her sweet little voice. She's gorgeous and charming enough that you really may have to worry...
I'm so glad I only have boys.
Bwa ha ha ha! Seriously so many comments about this but since I don't want karma to find me I'll just say... I wonder where she gets that?!
