Happy Halloween

We had a lot of fun for Halloween this year. We have Porter as Batman, Eva as a Fairy Princess (the wings bothered her so she didn't wear them after all), and Ivy was a Kitty without any ears. We went Trick or Treating around the neighborhood for about an hour and then hit the ward Truck or Treat. This is the first one that I've ever been to. It was suprisingly a lot of fun. The parents all dressed up as well as their kids. It made it so fun to go around and see all of our friends. I think you can tell a lot of about someone's "hidden" personality by what they dress up as for Halloween.

I don't know what that says for me and Dave. Well, we all know that I have a Dark Fairy side. Dave on the other hand is going through an identity crisis. He originally started as the Grim Reaper; then he stole Porter's batwings b/c they pop open super cool, so he threw that on too and called himself a bat. At the party we went to after the kids were in bed, he got voted as having the best costume...from the old movie of "Powder". I was such a proud Dark Fairy...

I dig the costumes, especially the Jack Skellington shirt...Connor and I had matching Jack Skellington costumes this year...we'll post photos soon.

Also, I can't help but notice, that bald and white faced, you look a whole heck of a lot like Billy Corgan.

Wow, I was beginning to wonder if you were ever going to blog again! Looks like everyone had a great time...thanks for sharing! And it's funny...the instant I saw Dave, the first thing I thought of was Powder. Awesome. Happy Halloween, Carr family!

I think David looks like that Hellraiser guy (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/c/c4/Hellraiser_poster.png). You just need to put some pins into your face. I remember being really scared of this guy, as I would look at him on the back of videos at Top Stop in Manti.

Of course, the Hellraiser association may be purely a result of knowing David growing up. Particularly I'm thinking of his status as a bully older brother.

You guys make me laugh. I loved all your costumes. Michael and I should do a better job of dressing up at Halloween. Your kids looked so cute!

Ok, let it be known that I know NOTHING of this movie "Powder". Did I miss something in the mid-90's? It did get the most nominations for "who does that bald white guy look like most?" The other nomination was Billy Corgan from Smashing Pumpkins. The Pinhead from Ryan was the first.

Oh yeah, and props to Ryan for mentioning Top Stop. There was just one shelf in that store that had all the scary movies (The Serpent and the Rainbow with the guy being buried alive, for example) and was fascinated by them, but at the same time, there was NO WAY I was going to rent one. Also, contrary to Ryan's assertion, I was no bully...just exercising (no pun intended on the previous discussion) my rights as an older brother...to prove my angelic demeanor, I always thought Hellraiser was the worst because it had a swear word in the title.

By the way, what's going on with Prop 102 in your neck of the woods? We're going nuts out here...is anyone out there doing anything about it?

A black fairy from Fablehaven? It looks like you had such a fun time. Wish we could have seen you all in person.

Hmmm. Having been there, as an outsider, whilst you were "big brothering" I might have to cast my vote towards Ryan...That might have to do with the fact that he is the father of my nephew, though. I love the ear-less cat and the wing-less fairy. Such free spirits.

Maggie, you're siding with Ryan? This is betrayal of the highest. Although there is some relation between the two of you (I forget how), our many macabre stick figure drawings in high school should have had you on my side without conditions. The betrayal is especially painful given that this is my site.

What do you expect when you tell me that you were going to come and visit - but then, no, you're not! I must seek revenge somehow! And you, of all people, know my revengeful side!

Happy Birthday, I stink as a friend, I didn't even call. Your kids are so big and cute, and Dave is so BALD. Nice look, I prefer zinc oxide on my nose though, call me old-fashioned. Miss you guys.

I haven't even read the stinkin' post, but just had to stop so I didn't have a heart attack that you actually wrote something in your blog! Okay, I'm over myself (deep breath), and love the photos. I was Princess Leia, so what does that say about me? Probably just that I am sick of my long hair and figured it would be a long time before I could put cinnamon rolls in them again. As for the two of you, so secrets revealed, we already knew!

So...do you guys still exist? I'm beginning to doubt...

For all those naysayers, we've pretty much moved our blog to Facebook. I'd keep this up, but I'm too busy playing Playstation to get something constructive done.

Just checking back to see if this year's blog installment is yet ready. I'll check back next Halloween to review the progress made.
